Parents, teachers, and students met to discuss the upcoming events that they have planned for the school. They discussed the fundraising plans, like the raffle to be held during the Christmas program. Parents are planning to bring back “Cultural Day” some time in May. Majority voted to hold the event on a Friday, from 5pm-9pm, instead of it being held in the morning.
Department of Public Safety officers visited our school to present on the 3Ds (Drunk, Drugged, and Driving) prevention program. There were profound discussions between officers and students when given different scenarios. They explained about the Designated Driver program. People could volunteer to be a designated driver if they are 18 years and older. The program is available from 6pm to 6am on Fridays, Saturdays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. The Designated Driver contact number is 483-7433.
